Looks like no one is following this series anymore. I keep having to make these threads.

So, we found out that Madara used childbirth and a threat to Naruto's life to pull out the Kyubi somehow. In the absence of knowing that Madara was who he was, if he was recognized as an Uchiha that would have been a decent reason to expect some trouble with that clan.

That Naruto is the 3rd Leaf Kyubi jinchuuriki is mildly interesting, but seriously, if people knew that the 4th's wife and the 1st's wife were Kyubi jinchuuriki...

Anyway, lets have the backstory complete so we can find out what new super powers Naruto has gained. I'm mostly betting on a mild chakra power up, and maybe an enhancement to the rasen-shuriken at this point. SUPER GIANT 60 FOOT WIDE RASEN-SHURIKEN!!!!

Seriously, I think Kyubi's giant energy ball attack should be as effective if not much more so.

... Wonder if Naruto will realize he has some kind of bloodline ability at this point... Kishimoto completely killed the whole idea of hard work and guts vs. inherited power thing that was going on between Naruto and Sasuke.

It certainly seems to be pointing at that. Obviously we don't know what Minato's heritage is but Kushina basically hints that her clan were an off shoot of the Senju or at least related in some way. With Kishimoto saying earlier than the Rinnegan Sage split his power into two it's setting Naruto up to be Senju at least in part. Obviously his lineage isn't as direct as Sasuke's but in these situations it doesn't really need to be. The necklace Naruto is wearing once he absorbs Kyubi's chakara is also a big hint:

Apparently it's a legendary Japanese item:

The necklace that the Sage wore might be a reference to the Yasakani Jewel; a legendary magatama necklace that is part of the Japanese Imperial Regalia, together with the Kusanagi Sword and the Yata Mirror. The Yasakani Jewel is the only one of these treasures yet to make an official appearance in the series.

The necklace is meant to represent benevolence which Naruto has in spades. Of course it might not mean anything but we have already seen Yata no Kagami and Sword of Kusanagi it would make sense for the the Yasakani Jewel to make an appearance.

I'd say you just imagined all of that. Naruto has always been gifted with a chakra so massive it eclipsed Sasuke's. He also had enough talent to learn things like the rasengan which apparently require tons of talent. As for Sasuke, he's always been desperately hard working even though his training happened behind the scenes.

He's already been told before that his chakra is amazing to be able to protect him from the Kyuubi's chakra to the extent it has. And now we now that this property comes from his mother.

I have my doubts he'll learn anything new. From what I understand, he's been using his "bloodline" subconsciously ever since he became a jinchuuriki. The Kyuubi has already been dealt with so what would he even need it for? His mother is in storytelling mode and I don't expect her to train Naruto in his mind right now or to ever appear again once the goodbyes are made. I guess maybe he'll figure out by himself how to make those chakra chains?

I'm still finding myself with little to say about the chapters...

One thing that I do wonder about, though: was the meeting with Uchiha Mikoto just a random, meaningless inclusion, or was it there for a reason? Could that be how Madara knew the details about the birth? (Yeah, the little bit of Uchiha stuff was all that really caught my interest.)

Don't over-read that; Kishi just wanted to show Baby Sauce.
