Can we have the same system that the Vertex has/had where comics are posted for people to download and read?

I really want to see more of us discussing comics and I'm not sure what I have to do to get people reading.

I don't see any reason not to have a downloads thing, but couldn't you just use yousendit or something?

I wouldn't even mind if webhead had (maybe he does) a public directory full of comics for people to read.

This would be so cool, I've been wanting to read some decent comic's. Its very hard to get comic's where I live so this would be great.

I have a directory, but seeing as the Center is running on my computer...when people download from me the forums get fucked over.

I could do the downloads system again...though I was actually thinking of making a comics site as a part of the Center Network. Ralph and I were planning on it, but well...yeah...he already registered the name comicsviewer amusingly enough, but I dunno if the server can handle comic VIEWING. We'll see in due time I suppose. I wish we had somewhere that the Center was NOT to host files.

Well why don't you just buy a server, stick it in your room, than shell out the goods?

To be fair, that would mean spending roughly $400 - $600 (I'm only guessing here) straight out of pocket.

Its not the computer I'm worried about, its my internet connection. I can't let people hammer this server or the forums are going to be slow as hell. The dilemma here is that I don't want to fuck over the speed on the forums like the old Center was.

Then just don't dedicate as much of the connection to the downloads. Ralph was rather determined to be on of the best naruto sites and most likely gave the downloads as much as he could.

^.^ I wouldn't mind downloading from Sendit or something. I'm more likely to actually rad some comics if someone gives me a link and says "Go here. Read this."

Am I the only one who never experienced any speed problems on the old Center? It was faster than the new one for me... I don't get it.

Anyway, I may have another option here with this. If I do it, I want to make an actual site for it on the Center Network. Somewhere where people can download a lot of the latest comics. We'll have to come up with a list eventually, but yeah...sounds like it could be fun.
