Did anyone else spot Kal Penn? I couldn't tell if I hallucinated him, or if John Cho dragged him on-set for a random cameo or something.

No but I mean...even then, it still seemed really stupid. I thought it was a great plot device. I thought it seemed stupid and didn't really fit either one of their characters, but maybe that's just me. -------------------- ![]() Those who would give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. It didn't seem forced to me, but I'm not a Trekkie. Hmm. Then I wonder why you don't think it was forced... QUOTE(webhead @ May 19 2009, 08:13 PM) ...but forced is forced. It didn't fit even in a non-Trek way. This + the knowledge that even if they are alternate realities, yet the people are destined the same way, then it should have been Chapel regardless. I like the part where the Hulk was like "FIRE EVERTHING!!!" because it reminded me of the End of the World flash animation.

Kirk's past may have been changed, but Spock's wasn't. Its only at the point of Vulcan being fried that things should really change.

Finally watched it. Awesome fun the first time, but won't be nearly as good the second time because 1) it relies a lot on lols and stunts and 2) Nero sucked and was a re-hash combination of Shinzon and Red Foreman from Voyager Year of Hell.
